Dan Petruzzella started making music on the guitar when he was 12 years old.
As a young, rambunctious kid, Dan had expressed a deep love for music; especially the passion and fire of guitar music. Dan's musical style has been influenced by many, including Jimi Hendrix, Edward Van Halen, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons, Peter Frampton, and Steve Lukather, along with Stevie Wonder, Al McKay, Larry Carlton, and Robben Ford, to name just a few. Dan fuses rock, funk, and blues together to bring a style that is uniquely his own, to every stage he performs on.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Dan Petruzzella can be found sharing his love of rock, funk, and blues at many clubs, theaters, and concert venues, as well as private and corporate events, throughout California, the western United States, and beyond. Dan has a fascination with guitar effect pedals and pedalboards. He has assembled quality pedalboards for many guitar and bass players, from the beginner to the touring pro. If you would like Dan to assemble your pedalboard, he can work with you from the initial consultation to the finished product. His pedalboards have a clean look, are laid out logically, and are easy to reconfigure when you decide to add or swap pedals.
Dan remembers what it was like learning to play the guitar while he was growing up. He currently shares his talents and insight by teaching numerous kids and adult beginners throughout the Northern San Francisco Bay Area. Dan specializes in teaching beginners, because he appreciates and understands their innocence and excitement about making music, just like he had experienced early on. His teaching style nurtures that passion, to bring an understanding of the instrument, and a love of making music, that will last for years to come.
